I’m once again sorry for the lack of updates on the site, I’ve been going though a lot of personal problems and anguish, lots of shit went down; I did close my, Myspace, DeviantArt, SheezyArt, and Live Journal accounts. so do not expect anything to pop up on those accounts. If you would like to see the reason why, you may still go to my DeviantArt site where it explains some of the personal issues. I am committed however to finally finish AFTV. Its been a long hard road, but hopefully this year we’ll get things on the move once again.

Plus to clarify, I will NOT run for District 3 councilman. Too much shit flying around in my personal life.

I don’t know if many of you remember me last year going to city hall to try and fill the seat of my city district 3 councilman. I didn’t get the seat of course, but this year, the district terms are up and now its time for people sign up and run for either councilman or even mayor.

This morning I went downtown for a city workshop for people who are interested in being part of city council or mayor.

Now, yes, I would LOVE to run* for District 3 councilman, but during this morning’s workshop, there is A LOT more things going on when you try to run. By what I really mean, is Paperwork, and lots of it. I’m not to keen on doing a lot of paper work, and some of it seemed discouraging; However the bottom line to all the paper works is really just to keep track of money thats coming into your campaign, and going out of your campaign. Of course good ethics.

Now comes the big decision, even with all this paper work and such; should I still think about running for Dist. 3 councilman?

While I really don’t have a gripe with our current councilwoman, One of the biggest things, for me at least is the issue with public access of the lack of a filming studio for producers. Also, is the last remaining Drive-In movie theater still standing, that was sold to the city, and the city want to make it into a public library. I’m all for more public libraries, however NOT at the old Drive-In theater. I rather see that place rebuilt to a better, more modern, and Restored to its original glory. There are other properties, among that road that can be used to build a new library.

Of course there are other issues such as roads, and certain nick-naks among what the people want.

So the questions still remains, Should I, or Should I not, run for District 3 councilman?

I will need people to help with my campaign, and most, if not all of us, do not have one bit of experience with this kind of work. The deadline to submit for me running is early March I believe. Given with all the paper work that needs to be submitted and such; I think I can run, but I really need supporters that would help.

Oni-Con 2008 – Photo Gallery is now open.

Happy New years to all of you!! I hope you all had a great new years, I’m slowly starting to get thing running here on the site, I have some stuff done; one, pictures of Oni-Con 2008 are up, and its quite simple to do it on iWeb with iPhoto, so expect the past Oni pictures to be up too. Also, I hope the new version of iWeb in iLife’09 will have some editing features for the nav bar on top. Now two, its a small thing, but it pissed me off. I finally got that little icon working if you bookmark us on the Home Screen on an iPhone or iPod Touch that will display a custom webclip icon, it worked before, but since the move to iWeb and Mobile Me, it has since stopped working. Now it is working, so go bookmark us on your iPhone or iPod Touch, like NOW!!

As you all know, the website is down, including the podcasts, I have gotten allot of complaints about how big and how long it takes to download a episode.

Let me explain what’s going on, right now I’m using a high-end Mac Mini as the server; yes, you can make a Mac Mini a web-server, hell, you can make ANY Mac with OSX with just one click. So, I’m using Time Warner Cable’s (TWC) road runner internet service, and even with there “Turbo” package, the side moves quite slow. About 2 months ago I signed up with Mobile Me when it debut, ever since then I’ve been playing around with it, and its pretty neat.  One of the best things is it gives you space for your own website 20GB of HD space, and 200GB of bandwidth a month.

This is neat, I can keep things clean and simple, and also I can finally use iWeb, a great app which all this you see is neatly created for you. I love it, one nice thing too its only $100 a year instead of paying an extra $50 a month for TWC. Currently my bill from TWC is over $200 so I could defiantly use the break.

One big problem though, the podcasts. Yes I know the podcasts are big in file size, there size is about 350MB, which is big for a 30 minute video, what I’m looking to do is compress the video again I would LOVE to get it to down to 30MB for a fast and easy download of the podcast AND it wont eat much of the bandwidth. So stay tuned everyone, and just so you know, the website will be up sooner than the podcasts, so don’t expect the podcasts to be up anytime soon
